Energy Department has awarded a three-year contract to two vendors to supply its users with enterprise software from Microsoft Corp.
Beyond.com Corp. of Santa Clara, Calif., and Network Management Corp. of North Highlands, Calif., will provide current and future versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system plus the Office XP suite and BackOffice Client Access licenses, Energy spokesman Jeff Sherwood said.
The $20 million value of the contract is based on Energy's previous software purchases, said Jim Campbell, Beyond.com's marketing vice president.
