Here's proof that proofreading is a dead art.
It was found last week in the fourth paragraph of a press release from Accenture LLP of Chicago, announcing the acquisition of Epylon Corp. of San Francisco. We quote, word for word and with punctuation exactly as it appeared, a statement attributed to Jay Mohr, who will become acting chief executive of Epylon: ' 'Through Accenture Technology Ventures, we were early investors in Epylon. We saw great potential for the company. {Its business model and its management gave it an advantage in a very difficult market segment? BS. The company was on its deathbed. Cut the past crap},' said Mohr.'
