Health site looks at drug use on the job

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has launched a Web site to help agencies and companies prevent drug abuse among their workers.

The administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention maintains the site, at www.drugfreeworkplace.gov.

The site includes:

  • A searchable database of all Health and Human Services Department technical drug testing information

  • An overview of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Program

  • CSAP's guidelines for a drug-free workplace program

  • Answers to frequently asked questions such as 'Can I legally require employees to take a drug test?'

  • Access to CSAP's e-mail at helpline@samhsa.gov

  • Spanish language resources for assistance.
