OMB ties GPEA compliance to e-gov progress

When agencies submit their next Government Paperwork Elimination Act progress reports, they must detail the status of their e-government projects - as requested recently by the Office of Management and Budget.

To help agencies in this effort, OMB earlier this month released a draft memo to CIOs detailing the information agencies need to provide when updating their GPEA plans.

Agencies, which have until October 2003 to fully comply with GPEA, must submit progress reports by Sept. 9.
