IRS inks an order for $35 million worth of PCs

The IRS has signed a five-year blanket purchasing agreement with PlanetGov Inc. to provide PCs to its offices nationwide.
Under the $35 million deal, which has a one-year base period and four option years, the Chantilly, Va., company will supply the agency with Hewlett-Packard Co. PCs.
Specifically, the BPA calls for PlanetGov to deliver 12,300 Compaq Evo D500 desktop PCs and monitors and more than 11,000 Compaq Evo N800 notebook PCs.
