INS awards a $228m services deal to Northrop
The Immigration and Naturalization Service earlier this month awarded a five-year, $228 million contract for IT services to Northrop Grumman Corp.
Under the blanket purchasing agreement, Northrop Grumman's IT unit will support INS infrastructure and provide support services for more than 100 offices in the United States, as well as offices overseas.
The agreement covers servers, LANs and 40,000 desktop PCs, and supports more than 1,400 sites.
The company will offer services to INS such as hardware maintenance, systems deployment and management, infrastructure, certification of the infrastructure cable plant and IT training.
