The General Services Administration has awarded SRA International Inc. a five-year, $8.2 million support contract to help the Federal Acquisition Institute revamp its services.
The institute plans, manages and coordinates the development and implementation of governmentwide acquisition policies, programs and practices for career employees.
Under the contract, the Fairfax, Va., company will conduct research to improve the government's procurement process and analyze work force trends; develop a competency acquisition career model to help agencies assess employee performance and hire acquisition workers; develop acquisition training standards; provide training; establish partnerships with the Defense Acquisition University and other organizations; and conduct outreach about the institute.
