OPM plans for new E-Learning procurement

Norm Enger

The Office of Personnel Management will give agencies more choice when it comes to online learning. The agency by December will award new E-Learning contracts for the services on the www.golearn.gov site.

The multiyear contracts will be indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity agreements, said Norm Enger, the agency's e-government director. OPM will ask vendors to bid on one or more of four contract areas, which likely will include learning management systems, course development and course content.

Enger and other OPM officials last week testified about the agency's five Quicksilver projects at a hearing of the House Government Reform Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and the Census.
