EarthWhere imagery software has won good marks from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Pathfinder 2004 program.
The spatial data provisioning application from SANZ Inc. of Castle Rock, Colo., ranked in the top five of tools for still and motion imagery evaluated in the annual program.
NGA, formerly the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, evaluated EarthWhere as an airborne information library tool for processing and accessing images taken by aircraft, said Mark Hardy, the software company's vice president of geospatial solutions.
EarthWhere's algorithms are not new, Hardy said, but the browser interface was designed to be as easy as possible for people unfamiliar with geospatial data.
