Virtual space: Response portal
The
FirstGov.gov Web site has made itself a portal to a host of information about Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. It includes links to the sites of federal, state and local agencies supplying services; government and non-government resources for finding missing people; where to apply for disaster assistance and other government benefits; and where you can offer help. And that's just a few of the sites. It also includes Spanish versions of many of the pages. The portal is on FirstGov's main page, at www.firstgov.gov.
