NASA has proposed in the Federal Register that small-business contractors participating in the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs be required to recertify their compliance with program regulations before they can receive their final payments.
As the SBIR and STTR programs are currently set up, companies must certify at the time they submit their proposals that they meet compliance requirements.
The deadline for commenting on the proposed rule change is Nov. 29. Comments can be submitted via the federal eRulemaking portal at
www.regulations.gov (refer to RIN no. 2700-AD17); or by e-mail to Marilyn Seppi in the contract management division of NASA's procurement office,
Marilyn.Seppi-1@nasa.gov.
