Grid users take note:
IBM Corp. just rolled out software called
Batch-on-Grid at last month's Grid World 2006 in Toyko. It manages batch workloads across grid, mainframe and distributed computing environments, and comprises various Tivoli scheduling components.
Bob Madey, vice president of strategy for Tivoli software, said, 'By incorporating self-managing autonomic software into workload management, we're able to help ensure our clients' systems remain up and running at all times.'
