COMMUNITY: Graduation rates

It doesn't have a football team or a fight song, but the CIO University did have a prestigious 2006 class to honor during graduation ceremonies this month. About 170 graduates'from civilian and Defense agencies, private industry and academia'received Federal Executive Competencies certificates during an event that featured a talk by Commerce CIO (and 2002 CIO U grad) Barry West (at right), among others. The university, managed by GSA on behalf of the CIO Council, is a virtual consortium of universities'including Carnegie Mellon, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Maryland and Syracuse'that run graduate level programs that teach the core competencies adopted by the CIO Council. Above are members of this year's class from George Mason.
