LITTLE VPN:Blue Ridge RemoteLink creates secure tunnels from remote devices.
Blue Ridge Networks Inc. (www.blueridgenetworks.com) of Chantilly, Va., launched its new RemoteLink end point security device. RemoteLink extends the security of an enterprise network to computers that access it remotely. The plug-and-play device works with any system that sports an Ethernet port. Remote users insert an administrator-controlled USB smart card into the RemoteLink box, which resembles an external modem, and the device acquires an IP address from the LAN and established a secure tunnel. RemoteLink devices go for between $700 and $800 each.
