Although originally marketed for hospitals, PortBlue Corp. of Los Angeles has started marketing its CommandAware software for other first responders and agencies that deal in emergency situations, according to Paul Dimitruk, CEO of the company. This expert system software charts an organization's chain of command, allowing personnel to quickly inventory available personnel and develop an emergency management plan.
