Calif. city renews outsourcing pact
The city of Santa Clara, Calif., has awarded a one-year, $4.2 million contract extension to Affiliated Computer Services Inc. for continuing outsourced information technology services.
The outsourcing contract covers project management, help desk, desktop, network, application, operation and systems services.
Santa Clara awarded the extension based on its long-term successful relationship with ACS and the overall cost effectiveness of the outsourced services, according to city official.
The city is located in Santa Clara County in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay area, and has a population of more than 109,000.
