Trust Digital mobile security meets DISA specs

Trust Digital announced that its smartphone security software client meets the latest updates to the Defense Information Systems Agency's wireless Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for Windows Mobile Messaging Wireless E-mail Systems.

DISA's STIG for Windows Mobile Messaging offers guidelines for the installation, configuration and operation of non-Blackberry Exchange e-mail systems for the Defense Department. The guide was recently updated to include device support for Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0.

Using Trust Digital's mobility management software, the Windows Mobile devices were able to meet some of STIG's rigorous standards, including actions to take if a wireless handheld device is lost or stolen, authentication log-in procedures to unlock a wireless e-mail device and Bluetooth security.
