The Marriot Hotel Group recently stopped automatically leaving each guest a copy of USA Today outside their doors, and plans to offer more news-styled content online for in-room viewing. The company said this move would help the environment. A

Carbon dioxide generated from printing a single newspaper: 256 grams
Carbon dioxide generated from doing a Web search (running servers, etc.): 7 grams
