FAA chooses Vordel for SOA work

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has selected Vordel as the qualified vendor of XML gateways to support the FAA’s System Wide Information Management, a National Airspace System with the goal of supporting the transformation to the Next Generation Air Transportation System.

The FAA will adopt the Vordel XML Gateway to streamline Web services and XML data communications capabilities across the agency’s service-oriented architecture implementations.

“Homeland Security mandates for a heightened regulatory environment means government agencies need to actively protect and control the release of private and sensitive information,” said Greg Hudson, president of Vordel North America. “Vordel’s products address the need for efficient, anytime, anywhere access to government services whilst maintaining security and protecting the privacy of personal information.”
