THE NUMERATOR
Survey confirms what you probably thought about Twitter
Twitter tweets are, more than anything else, pointless babble, according to a recent survey of 2,000 tweets picked at random by San Antonio marketing analysis firm Pear Analytics. The analysts bucketed the tweets in one of six categories: news, spam, self-promotion, pointless babble, conversation, or pass-along value (that is to say, tweets that were retweeted by someone else).
