Survey finds users worry about loss of privacy, theft

One of the newer trends in social media is the use of geolocation tools, which show users’ physical location when they’re online. Now, you can not only tell people what you’re having for lunch, you can show them where you are. But despite their growing popularity, geolocation tools worry users. A recent survey by Webroot of more than 1,500 social network users found that more than half who use geolocation tools worry about loss of privacy, and nearly a quarter had been victims of a phishing attempt.
