BlackBerry Tablet OS update to address Flash flaw
BlackBerry will soon release a new version of its BlackBerry Tablet operating system to deal with a security issue relating to the Adobe Flash Player, Network World reports
Last week, Adobe issued an update for the player to address a vulnerability with its cross-site scripting. The vulnerability could potentially have exposed BlackBerry PlayBook users to malicious websites, parent company Research in Motion said on a user support page.
The updated OS will be activated on all new BlackBerry PlayBooks purchased after June 12. Current users will receive a software update notification, or they can search for the updated version of the OS manually.
