NSA awards $140 million systems contract

NSA awards $140 million systems contract

The National Security Agency has awarded a $140 million follow-on contract for Trailblazer to Conquest Inc. of Annapolis Junction, Md.

The 3.5-year contract, announced yesterday, is a follow-on to a five-year, $57 million contract Conquest won last year that provides systems engineering and support to several initiatives to help NSA modernize its signals intelligence computer programs.

Under the Trailblazer contract, Conquest will help NSA define and test the best systems for processing the agency's foreign signals intelligence.

Conquest has chosen Boeing Co. to be a subcontractor, and as such it will build an architecture for a variety of NSA programs.
