IAC issues guide to federal IT security

Federal agencies struggling with information security requirements can use a new handbook from the Industry Advisory Council as a road map.
IAC, a Fairfax, Va.-based public-private interest group, has released the Federal Regulatory Compliance Guide and Matrix, a compilation of several government requirements for information security and assessment standards.
The guide is intended to be a reference for federal guidelines such as the Federal Information Security Management Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, according to IAC. To see the guide, go to
