Agencies testing their Web applications for security might consider the new WebInspect 6.0 from SPI Dynamics Inc. of Atlanta (www.spidynamics.com). The latest version of the WebInspect assessment tool includes what the company calls Intelligent Engine technology, which analyzes conditions in an application, then customizes its attacks based on what it learns about a Web application's behavior. Company officials said the new testing model could speed up security checks and reduce false positives.
