FileNet Corp. of Costa Mesa, Calif., (
www.filenet.com) last month received certification from the Defense Department for its
Records Manager software platform. Records Manager earned DOD 5015.2-STD Chapter 4 certification, meaning it's approved to control the creation, declaration, classification, retention and destruction of electronic and nonelectronic records. 5015.2 is something of a de facto records management standard in the federal government. In August IBM Corp. agree to acquire FileNet.
