The CIA's In-Q-Tel technology investment firm has funded Copan Systems Inc. of Longmont, Colo., to further develop its storage technology. The company's Massive Array of Idle Disks architecture offers large-scale, disk-based storage that reduces power costs by keeping disks unpowered until needed.
