IRS taps General Dynamics for modernization work

The IRS has awarded a five-year, $9.6 million contract to General Dynamics Corp.'s Information Technology unit to expand IRS Transition Management Office outreach and support.

The company will undertake projects aimed at ensuring IRS organizations make the best use of the agency's guidance for designing, developing and supporting business systems modernization projects.

The contractor also will lead the Transition Management team and provide direct consulting support.
