The Ponemon Institute, a Michigan-based private security research company, has released the results of a survey that shows considerable concern among government information technology managers about potential security risks of Google's desktop search engine. Most significant, 78 percent of the 544 respondents felt the 'search across computers' feature ' which involves temporarily storing data on Google servers 'represents a particular security risk.
