HP unveils imaging tools for government

Products aim to ease paper burden for courts, schools, social work and police

Hewlett-Packard this month unveiled four imaging products designed with the public sector in mind:
  • The HP Courts Case Processing Accelerator helps clerks and court officers capture and process case-related information at the source, the company said. It lets users digitize and upload data and court case documents to the provider’s electronic document management systems or other case management systems. The product also is designed to work with HP multifunction printers, scanners and print management software.
  • HP’s Electronic Workflow and Document Management Solution for Education targets the paper-intensive manual processes that plague higher and secondary education departments, the company said. Key features include applications to manage alumni relations, degree acceptance and human resources.
  • The HP Records Processing Solution for Law Enforcement provides agencies with a document management system to capture, process and retain important documents, HP said. The product notably maintains an automatic audit trail and electronic archive and offers a network-friendly setup, the company said.
  • HP Social Services Case Processing Accelerator helps caseworkers securely capture documents. It also works with existing applications. .
