The Corporate Executive Board’s Public Cloud Flaw Analysis surveyed 48 IT organizations in diagnosing the public cloud’s current limitations and future potential. Firms foresee a rapid timeline for the resolution of flaws with the public cloud, stretching only through 2013. Of 19 flaws, several are significant:

  • Service-level agreements.
  • Security governance.
  • Legal ambiguity.
  • Data leakage.
  • Data location.
  • Disaster recovery.
  • Availability risk.

I find it interesting that everyone I talk to is looking at cloud as a Disaster Recovery solution and the this article lists Disaster Recovery as a Very Significant Flaw that they don't expect to have addressed until 2013.
