Twitter from Mars

Who said Twitter had no role in government? The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has set up a Twitter account for the Mars Phoenix Lander, which allows the JPL to offer quick updates and answer questions about the interplanetary soil-digging device. More than 18,000 people have tuned into the Mars Lander micro-blogging site.
