Another item on SEWP PM Joanne Woytek’s list of things to do 10 years ago was the creation of an electronic application system for agencies to file their SEWP procurement requests, saving paper and money.

CompuSearch will make that happen. “We should have an agreement with them to work on this soon. So it will probably be available in 2010.”

Once the system is complete, and an order is sent, “we will then have it formatted into our system directly. We will still have some eyes looking at it, but the process will speed up and as we only have to look at some key data to make sure it’s correct. Then we send it to the vendor electronically so that faxing isn’t necessary,” Woytek said. The bottom line according to Woytek is: “happy customer, happy contract staff and happy contract holders because it’s going to reduce processing time.”

“We are now down to hours, but we want to get to minutes. We are going to reduce the resources that we need to have to do order processing, so we can have more customer service,” Woytek noted. That’s CompuSearch.”
