Corel announces WordPerfect Office X5 at the FOSE trade show.

At FOSE yesterday, Corel unveiled the latest version of its flagship WordPerfect Office suite, offering online collaboration tools, an integrated e-mail client and support for more than 60 file formats, including Microsoft Office files.

The new suite includes Quattro Pro X5 for spreadsheets, charts and graphs; Presentations X5 for presentations and slideshows; WordPerfect Lightning for digital note-taking; enhanced tools for creating and managing PDF documents; smoother integration with Microsoft's SharePoint; Mozilla Thunderbird, an e-mail client; Nuance PaperPort SE 12 for annotating and sharing PDFs; and support for Microsoft's XML formats.

An upgrade to WordPerfect Office X5 is now available for download from www.corel.com for $160 and $250 for the full version. A boxed version is also available for pre-order through Corel, and a home and student edition is also available for $100.
