Editors are looking for exceptional federal, state and local government IT projects and management teams, to be honored for their ingenuity, organizational skill and contribution to the public.

The 1105 Government Information Group, publisher of Government Computer News, Federal Computer Week and Washington Technology, is now accepting nominations for the 2012 GCN Awards.

We are looking for exceptional federal, state and local government IT projects and management teams, to be honored for their ingenuity, organizational skill and contribution to the public.

The GCN Awards do not recognize individual accomplishment. Instead we are looking for teams whose chemistry, leadership and skills have blended together to create and deploy original systems with extraordinary impact and value to the public good.

The awards also provide an opportunity for agencies and the IT industry to recognize the contribution of individual specialists and utility staffers who often make the difference between a project that meets most of its marks and those that deliver outstanding innovation and productivity.

The deadline for nominations for the GCN Awards is June 22, 2012.

The winners will be honored at the GCN Gala dinner and reception to be held October 24 the Ritz-Carleton Tysons Corner.
