VA sets plan for securing nets at sites nationwide

The Veterans Affairs Department has awarded an 11-year, $103 million contract to a five-company consortium to secure VA networks nationwide.
The VA Security Team vendors will develop a central incident response capability for networks supporting VA hospitals, cemeteries, and medical and insurance groups.
SecureInfo Corp. of San Antonio will lead the team, which includes Applied Engineering Management Corp. of San Antonio; DSD Laboratories Inc. of Sudbury, Mass.; Seidcon Inc. of El Camino, Calif.; and TeamBI Solutions Inc. of Falls Church, Va.
