Transportation moves ITOP II contract to GSA

The Transportation Department last month transferred management of the Information Technology Omnibus Procurement contract to the General Services Administration. ITOP II is worth up to $10 billion over seven years.

'ITOP II is a well-respected information technology governmentwide contract vehicle that will provide additional options for GSA customers to meet their IT contracting needs,' said Tina Burnette, deputy assistant commissioner for commercial acquisition at GSA's Federal Supply Service.

ITOP II provides customers with a range of options, including fixed-price, and time- and materials-based contracts.

OMB granted governmentwide acquisition contract status to the ITOP II contract vehicle on June 9. GSA will continue to support the needs of Transportation, the Coast Guard, NASA, the Transportation Security Administration and other current ITOP II customers. GSA will expand direct-ordering authority to requesting agencies.
