Protecting airwaves

AirDefense Inc. of Alpharetta, Ga., has released AirDefense Enterprise 7.0, a wireless security platform that detects intrusions by analyzing real-time events in the context of historical data. The platform also comes with something called RF Rewind, which lets network administrators troubleshoot a WLAN or analyze suspicious activity by reviewing minute-by-minute records of wireless communications. According to the company, AirDefense Enterprise 7.0 supports up to 300,000 devices from a single server appliance. It is Common Criteria- and FIPS-certified.
