VIRTUAL SPACE: The Air Force's other network
The Air Force last week caught a ride on one of the Web's hottest trends, launching a user profile on the MySpace social networking site. The site (GCN.com
, GCN.com/668) is an attempt to reach out to people, and potential new recruits, between the ages of 18 and 24, the Air Force says. It lets visitors chat, and post blogs, photos and videos, including those of airmen on the job and in interviews. They also get to vote on which television commercial the service should use to kick off its 'Do Something Amazing' campaign, which will start Sept. 18.
