2008 Rising Star Andrew Wadler
Andrew Wadler, an engineer with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego, has helped bring state-of-the-art technology to Navy ships and command posts.

Wadler serves as the project lead for the Automated Digital Networking Systems project, which provides ship-to-shore communications for the entire fleet. In 2007, he applied his engineering prowess to the challenge of fielding converged IP-based networks for carrying voice, video and data traffic. Since then, he has developed and deployed the first converged networks on board a number of ships.
Wadler also has spearheaded the research and development of a Multiprotocol Label Switching-Traffic Engineering architecture, which is expected to provide the Navy with better Quality of Service capabilities.About Rising Stars 2008
