Alfresco fine tunes classified records access

Government records managers must ensure security and compliance while providing ready access to a large number of users.

This latest version of Alfresco Records Management solution aims to make that easier by improving the security of classified content in government information systems.  Version 2.4 offers granular content classifications and access that can be controlled by a user's security clearance, simplifying the management of classified content.

It also has been designed to scale for hundreds of users in state and local governments as well as for large enterprise organizations with thousands of users, the enterprise content management solution provider said.

These updates aim to help government agencies handle the legal requirements for information systems while they work to adopt open-source and cloud solutions,  meet electronic email electronic records mandates and overhaul legacy systems.

“Agencies must provide the tools for collaboration, business process and content management that are flexible enough to meet the needs of this changing landscape,” Alfresco Vice President of Public Sector Austin Adams said.
