Quigley takes the helm of GCN publications

Frank Quigley is the new publisher of GCN and its associated newspapers, GCN State
& Local and GCN Shopper.

He succeeded Gary Squires.

Before joining GCN, Quigley was publisher of Windows Sources magazine for Ziff-Davis
Publishing Co. in New York.

Before that, he was eastern advertising director of Ziff's PC Magazine.

Quigley also has experience in government-related publications.

While at Times Publishing Co.'s Congressional Quarterly subsidiary, he was a member of
the team that launched Governing magazine.

"Frank Quigley is an established, creative publishing and business leader,"
said Beverly Keil, chief executive officer of GCN's owner, Post-Newsweek Business
Information Inc., a subsidiary of The Washington Post Co.

"He has experience in both the computing and government publishing fields--both
very important assets for GCN," Keil said.

Quigley called GCN a pioneer and leader in its field and said, "We will continue
to extend the brand of GCN and increase its market visibility through new products and

Quigley and his family will relocate to the Washington area from Scarsdale, N.Y.
