IBM Corp.’s InfoPrint 20 workgroup laser printer prints 20 pages per minute and
uses the Adobe PostScript page description language for graphics handling.


The printer’s installation CD-ROM has a networking wizard to set up the proper
management tools and drivers for Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Novell NetWare and
Unix.


The 600-dot-per-inch printer can output as many as 75,000 pages per month. It comes
with a 650-sheet tray but also accepts 11- by 17-inch and 13- by 20-inch paper.


IBM said its TonerMiser technology will extend toner cartridge life by as much as 50
percent. The Social Security Administration is the largest federal user of IBM
printers, purchased through a contract with Unisys Federal Systems Division.


The InfoPrint 20 starts at $2,259.

Imagine ThinWare adds imaging capabilities to Web browsers through ActiveX controls.


The program, from Imagination Software Inc. of Silver Spring, Md., works with Inprise
Delphi, Sybase PowerBuilder, Visual Basic, Visual C++ and other languages that support
ActiveX.
