Transportation, VA award pacts to test networks

The Veterans Affairs Department’s Health Administration Center and the
Transportation Department’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently
awarded System Resources Corp. of Burlington, Mass., contracts to evaluate their systems
and recommend year 2000 solutions.

SRC’s contracts with both agencies involve test planning, testing, independent
validation and verification activities, said Ralph Williams, SRC spokesman.

The HAC contract is a follow-on focusing on M-based software applications. The $600,000
NHTSA contract includes software testing for 45 applications in several hardware and
software platforms as well as Web testing, Williams said.

Work on both contracts is under way, he said. The company has provided year 2000
solutions to the Army and Coast Guard, as well as Maryland and Massachusetts state
governments, Williams said.
