Army signs BPA with CA

The Army Communication-Electronics Command last month negotiated a blanket purchasing agreement with Computer Associates International Inc. for CA-Unicenter products.

Through the agreement, only Army buyers will be able to use the BPA to get the CA network management software at discounts of more than 55 percent off the company's General Services Administration schedule pricing.

The Military Traffic Management Command and Southern Command immediately placed year-end orders through the BPA, said Lee Harvey, division chief at CECOM's Acquisition Center-Washington, which awarded the contract. The Army's Small Computer Program at Fort Monmouth, N.J., will manage the contract.
