DOD schools gain IT support

The Defense Department's Defense Education Activity has placed a one-year, $1 million order for information technology support services to Intellisource of Vienna, Va., under a General Services Administration IT Schedule contract.

The Defense Education Activity operates one of the nation's largest public school systems. Its 224 kindergarten-through-12th-grade schools serve more than 100,000 children in seven states, Puerto Rico, Guam and 13 countries.

Intellisource will provide day-to-day operational support to DODEA headquarters offices in Arlington and Richmond, Va., and to the W.T. Sampson schools at the U.S. Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
