For $1,900, Xerox packs a scanner, fax and laser printer into one unit
The WorkCentre Pro 16fx Digital All-in-One multifunction printer from Xerox Corp. combines a flatbed scanner, flatbed fax machine and laser printer in a $1,900 unit.
The $2,100 16p model does printing and copying only and has an optional Ethernet adapter.
The multifunction 16fx claims 8-page-per-minute printing and 10-ppm PC faxing without having to print first. It has 120 pages of fax memory.
The 16p model prints and copies at 15 ppm, and it can automatically do two-sided printouts in Hewlett-Packard Printer Control Language mode.
Both WorkCentre Pros have parallel and Universal Serial Bus interfaces, 600- by 600-dot-per-inch resolution, 30-sheet document feeders and 500-sheet capacity with automatic tray switching.
The All-in-One printers work in Microsoft Windows 9x and Windows NT 4.0 environments.
