NASA plans to issue RFPs

NASA expects to release by May a request for proposals for the third generation of its Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement, said Patrick Logan, program manager for SEWP II.

The space agency is still seeking authority from the Office of Management and Budget to offer the contract across government, he said.

SEWP III will be similar to SEWP II but will include more security products, Logan said.

Like its predecessor, SEWP III will have a 35 percent set-aside for small businesses, he said.

Additional information about the contract can be found at sewpiii.sewp.nasa.gov.
