Network-1 releases new hardening templates for line of Lucent servers

Network-1 Security Solutions Inc. has updated its CyberwallPlus-SV security hardening software for the QIP line of Domain Name System and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol servers made by Lucent Technologies Inc. of Murray Hill, N.J.

The QIP Enterprise Server from Network-1 of Waltham, Mass., sets up a central repository for all IP address, host name and media access control layer information.

The new release of CyberwallPlus-SV works with QIP servers running Microsoft Windows NT. The software makes templates for implementing security policies on the servers.

Templates are available for the QIP management server, a remote DNS server and a remote DHCP server.

A fourth template is for an integrated configuration running DNS and DHCP services on the QIP management server.

The CyberwallPlus-SV software for Windows NT and Windows 2000 starts at 50 cents per IP address.
