Center offers more software

The Transportation Department's Millennium Solutions Center will supply records management software in addition to network applications and services it already offers government users.

The center's new partnership with Tower Software USA of Reston, Va., makes the new offerings possible. It was announced at the recent Government Information Technology Council's Information Processing Interagency Conference 2000 in Orlando, Fla.

Under the agreement, prices will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Agencies that want to lease the software will pay a fee based on the number of seats on which they intend to install it, said Kendall Nelson, a Tower Software spokeswoman. Pricing could also be based on how much they use the software.
